We take the art of gift-giving seriously around here — and it is an art, especially if your list is growing year after year. We don’t suggest you get your mom’s cousin’s niece’s dog a bespoke Louis Vuitton collar, but there are ways to buy everyone on your roster inexpensive gifts without coming across as cheap. Just because something is tiny doesn’t mean it can’t pack a sartorial punch and make a statement when being unwrapped, and to that point, having a small little token is way more fun than getting everyone a $10 coffee-shop gift card and calling it a day.

So why trust us? I’m a serious shopper, and spend lots of time wandering around looking at what stores have (and, sometimes more importantly, don’t have), plus scouring the Internet and several dozen pages of the Ssense sale for items that are worth the squeeze. We wouldn’t put something on this page that we wouldn’t use ourselves — plus, this is a handy exercise for us when picking out gifts for good friends and family alike. We’ve also double-checked inventory and noted if our picks will need extradited shipping in order to make it in time for all the White Elephants you’re attending (warning: most do).

It’s the ultimate 2024 vibe check: ashtrays, playing cards, and more things Tony Soprano would love are now fair game for both the girls and the gays, with designer-friendly options. Below, we’ve rounded up sub-$50 treats, from an organic bamboo eye mask to a customizable plush robe.
